About Give Me Pizza, or Give Me Death
Give Me Pizza, or Give Me Death is a blog about pizza and politics in the nation’s capital and surrounding areas. We talk pizza with local politicians, community leaders, and activists to try to delve into what makes the DMV tick.
Give Me Pizza, or Give Me Death is a play on Patrick Henry’s famous “Give me liberty, or give me death!” speech in 1775.

I’ve been blogging since the early 2000s in one form or another. Originally on Blogger, then b2 and WordPress. I’m a former member of the 9rules blogging community. I’ve floated around on Tumblr as well as a few other platforms. The only one that fully remains intact is my Tumblr, which I still use from time to time.
I live in Washington D.C. with my spouse and our two fur babies, a lab/chihuahua mix and a domestic shorthair cat. I grew up in Western New York State, in an area that is considered to be part of Appalachia. I’ve spent some time in Michigan, Southern California, Ohio, and rural Pennsylvania. I’m currently working towards a degree in Political Science but my interests run deep. I work as a data analyst by day.
You can most likely find me reading, listening to podcasts, hanging out with my fur babies, exploring DC, on Twitter, and trying to learn new things.
Your best bet is to contact me via Twitter.
